The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology took the top spot in the QS Asian University Rankings 2012, followed by National University of Singapore in 2nd place and University of Hong Kong in 3rd place. HKUST topped the 2012 QS University Rankings: Asia league table for the second year in a row.
